d'ARTwork featured on the Spirit of Norfolk

A new symbiotic relationship has formed in downtown Norfolk - the d'ART Center and the Spirit of Norfolk are working together to enhance visitors downtown experience.
If you are local or a tourist you must see the Elizabeth River on a lunch or dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Norfolk. Now your experience will be even better because the Spirit of Norfolk now features the artwork of nine d'ART Center Artists. A variety of paintings adorn the main deck and the second deck providing a cultural connection for Spirit of Norfolk guests.
The artwork of d'ART Center Artists Pamela Pine Winslow, Eleanor Powell, Bob Postle, Janice Gay-Maker, Barbara Fulp, Kenneth Fulp, Anne May, Clayton Singleton and Lynette Crain looks terrific on the Spirit of Norfolk and gives patrons another taste of what makes Norfolk so special for visitors. "Creating exposure for the Artists and the d'ART Center while enhancing the Spirit of Norfolk is a Win / Win for a both Norfolk Attractions." say D'Arcy Weiss, Director of Marketing.
There are 33 pieces of Artwork hanging on the Spirit of Norfolk and all available for sale while you sail! "I am excited about this opportunity, not just for what it will do for the aesthetics of the ship but for the potential exposure for the artists." said Jolene Price-Thompson, General Manager of the Spirit of Norfolk.
