d'ART's 22nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Art Exhibition ~ Works on PAPER and of CLAY, showcases the best of the best from artists around the country!

This national juried exhibition features 55 pieces of amazing 2-D and 3-D artwork created by 34 artists from 7 states. Visitors will be delighted to see a wide variety of visual arts mediums including; Handmade Dyed Flax on Denim Paper, Chalk on Paper, Polymer Clay, Monotypes, Gouache on paper, Etchings, Clay Jewelry and Sculptures and much more.

Artwork for the 22nd Mid-Atlantic Art Exhibition was hand selected from our national call to artists by juror Sondra N. Arkin. Sondra Arkin is an artist and curator who works in printmaking, sculpture, assemblages and encaustics. Sondra Arkin is a founding Director of Mid City Arts and Board Chair of Art Enables, an organization that promotes art and artists in Washington D.C.

On Friday, April 27, 2012 at 6:30pm juror Sondra Arkin and presenting sponsor BB&T will award a $1,500 Best-in-Show Purchase Award for the d'ART Center's collection, a $600 Award of Excellence, a $300 Award of Distinction, two $200 Awards of Merit and two $200 Memorial Awards.
