Children's Classes
MIXED MEDIA: For Ages 7-12

This class is structured to encourage imagination and self-expression through the experience of several mediums. Students will be encouraged to think outside the picture frame as they learn fundamentals of painting and mixed media. Class includes instruction on handling different paint media, surface techniques, collage and more. Students will be inspired to use their mind's eye as they develop skills in the use of color, form, design and shape as they work in both two and three dimensions.

Exploration in Paint and Mixed Media: For Ages 6-10
Clayton Singleton, Instructor
Students will be inspired to use their mind's eye as they develop skills in painting and mixed media, including handling different surface techniques, collage and more. They will participate in individual/group exercises, in-class assignments and be urged to plan, think critically and develop a personal artistic vision as they learn the use of color, form, design and shape.

d'ART Summer ART CAMP
Each summer the d'ART Center welcomes hundreds of children to d'ART Day Camp, providing instruction in a variety of mediums and techniques. The d'ART Center offers seven one week d'ART Day Camp sessions for ages 6-8, ages 8-10, and ages 9-14 during June, July and August.
Instructors are experienced art educators who have taught at the d'ART Center, Governor's School and Norfolk and Virginia Beach school systems.

TUITION $140 plus Materials fee $35 (includes camp t-shirt) TOTAL = $175
A deposit of 1/2 of the tuition is due at registration; the balance is due the first day of camp. Refunds are granted, less $15, only if the Center is notified one week prior to week of camp.
