Jaimie Phillips is a regionally known artist from Roanoke, VA and has participated in a vast array of shows throughout the East Coast including 40 under 40 in Waynesboro, VA, PFAC annual juried art show in Portsmouth, VA, New Waves in Virginia Beach, VA, MOCA’s Virginia Beach Boardwalk Art Show, and many more. She was juried into the accredited D’Art Center as a resident artist in Norfolk, VA. Jaimie has her Bachelors in Fine Arts Degree from Old Dominion University and is widely known for her mural paintings throughout the east coast. Outside of painting, Jaimie teaches art, swims, hikes, surfs, and is an avid music lover. She has participated in live public art performances at nationally known music and arts festivals including Floyd Fest (Floyd, VA) and Roosterwalk (Martinsville, VA).
Jaimie’s work is inspired by natures ever changing beauty and the mysterious ways of the world, from epic sun-lit skies, surfing big waves, to the struggling street musician. From landscapes to portraits, the presence of time and how quickly it seems to vanish is a common theme in her pieces. Her work has been apart of and sold to various private and public collections throughout the state of Virginia.
