Vonnie Whitworth - Realistic Watercolor

My career as a full-time artist began as a fashion illustrator  for local department store Rices Nachmans. I began doing the outdoor art shows, showing my drawings and watercolor paintings. In the l 980's my husband Tom became my business manager. We began traveling the art show circuit all along the east coast. Annually, I presented a large exhibition and opening of my new work at the D'Art Center where I maintained a studio for over 30 years. #Working Artists Studios is now where I have my studio. I am one of five professional artists working in different medias at 400 Olney Rd in Norfolk. I am a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and The Virginia Watercolor Society.

I consider the Fund Raising projects I have worked with over the years to be the most gratifying to me personally. I was able to use my talents to make a difference in the world. It has been an honor and a privilege to spend my life doing something I love.
